Encounter

Encounter recordings will be available soon!

All adults are invited to attend Encounter on Sunday mornings at 9:30am. We meet in the Community room at the top of the Villa Santa Fe property across Cliff Drive from the church. It's a 5 minute walk from the church, following the signs through the pathways of Villa Santa Fe, or you may drive to the end of Santa Fe Place.

This time is designed for people who are excited about growing in their faith, who love great discussions, and enjoy fellowship with others. Join us to Encounter God, Encounter his Word, Encounter others, Encounter yourself and Encounter a bigger picture. Coffee, tea and light breakfast fare are provided. We schedule Encounter purposefully during the time that children and youth are attending their own Sunday School classes so that parents can participate in Encounter and still attend worship with their children as a family.

A Year with John Wesley
This year in Encounter, we will be studying topics relevant to our Wesleyan heritage as Free Methodists. Our mission will be to focus on: “Embracing a theology of love that is redeeming the world and transforming the church.”

For the fall and part of the winter, we will be focusing in on what it means to love God with all our heart. In the spring, we will discuss what it means to love others as ourselves, and the many implications of that. Discussions will include history of the Methodist revival and how the Free Methodist church became a movement, social justice, creation care, evangelism, small groups.
