After forty years of service at the Free Methodist Church of Santa Barbara, Rev. Denny Wayman has retired.

Under Bishop Matt Thomas and Supt. Larry Walkemeyer's leadership the best candidates in the nation were considered for this lead pastor position, and two were interviewed by the Ministerial Appointments Committee of the Free Methodist Church in Southern California. They have unanimously chosen Rev. Colleen Hurley-Bates. Your delegates then met with Supt. Larry and the candidate and have enthusiastically affirmed the decision of the Ministerial Appointments Committee.
