Jonathan Wilson-Hartgrove is a writer, speaker, activist, and minister from North Carolina.

He is in town as the keynote speaker for the Santa Barbara Missions Conference and has agreed to spend time with us at Encounter introducing his most recent book: Reconstructing the Gospel: Finding Freedom from Slaveholder Religion.

Jonathan’s talk will explore his own spiritual journey and reasons for writing this book as well as discuss the moral challenges we face today, deeply rooted in American Christianity’s past.
