Perhaps the most common misunderstanding of Scripture is that it is one book written in one literary style and so you read it from page 1 to the end.

It is a collection of sixty six books each with its own unique place and purpose within the canon. Join us as we focus primarily on the twenty-seven books of the New Testament and identify how each is distinctive and is best read in light of its particular purpose.

Free Methodists throughout the world hold a very high view of Scripture affirming these writings as the primary source for revealed truth. We also hold a high view of biblical scholarship to help us understand and effectively read His Word so that we "rightly handle the Word of truth" (2 Tim. 2:15).
