Dr. Kya Mangrum is an English Professor at Westmont College and will be speaking about the intersections between Christianity, Slavery, and Race. Kya’s research interests include 19th century American literature, African-American literature, visual culture studies and media studies. She will be exploring the tragic history of Christianity and slavery in our nation.
