Men, save the date for a one-day retreat close to home. We’ll gather at Toro Canyon Park, in the foothills between Summerland and Carpinteria, for a time of fellowship, Bible study, prayer, and play. Pricing and registration are at the bottom (much cheaper than our normal retreat at Forest Home Ojai). We hope you come to grow deeper with other men in discipleship to Christ, and please think about someone you could invite. Let’s get a large group!

Our theme for this year is “Tuned In: Listening to God and His People,” focusing on John 10:27; James 1:19.

How easy it is to talk, how hard to listen. In our noisy and distracted worlds, it is easy to tune out the most important words being communicated to us. Our Creator God speaks to us and longs for us to listen. Our closest loved ones want to listen and speak into our lives. We make connections, and others speak to us a truth worth hearing. Are we listening? 

We are thrilled for this retreat to welcome Pastor Dennis Leon, who will share words from the Lord. We will be challenged and encouraged as we listen.

Pastor Dennis has been in ministry for over 20 years, both here in the Santa Barbara area and longer-term in Costa Rica, where he and his wife have been planting Free Methodist churches and overseeing community ministries. He is happily married to Kyle, who grew up in our church, and they are the parents of Elias, Selah, Cyrus, and Lucas.
