We welcome you to join us for a Passover Seder Potluck on Maundy Thursday of Holy Week in the Upper Room. This is an opportunity for Christians to learn more about Jewish roots of the church and connect with the story of the Old Testament in a way that gives richness and complexity to our experience of Eucharist. Before His death on the cross, Jesus shared this kind of meal with the disciples, so it also gives us a greater understanding of their tradition. The dinner is on Thursday, April 2, from 5:30-8pm and is for people of all ages! Children are welcome as there will be interactive elements geared toward them. Parents can use their discretion regarding their children’s ability to participate in the long meal. Childcare is available for children ages 8 and under by emailing childcare@fmcsb.org by Monday 3/30. The church is providing all the elements of the Passover, as well as the main dish. The liturgy includes green salad & fruit salad in the first hour, and a hearty meal in the second hour.
Please sign up to RSVP (the form will be available soon), and let us know what dessert or savory side dish you are able to bring. Please bring enough for ten people when you sign up for an item. Sign ups are limited to 50 people.
